Beer Pong

IMG_0740

Beer pong is awesome. But, some uptight people don't want it on the Wii.

Seriously? Come on.

It's a game of gentlemen. A game of skill. A game Chud can really get into.

Gonch is right.

I was skimming some RSS feeds this morning, and I came across this post by Lord Gonchar. I have to agree with him. People need to learn how to spell. I mean, hell! Today's browsers have spell check built in! Learn it, people! Spelling and proper punctuation is important!

Home again, home again...

...jiggety-jig.

Myself, Vikki, and Matt

King's Island was awesome, and having fifty "Dora Dollars" to spend in the park was pretty good too. Vikki, Matt and I had some good times riding the various rides, and even decided to partake in riding Son of Beast, post-loop removal. (For the record: It's one hundred times easier to ride now, but still bone-jarring. DO NOT RIDE. It gave me chest pains. Seriously.) I'm bummed that Tomb Raider/The Crypt was severely de-themed, which really hurt the ride experience in my opinion, but the ride program itself seemed to be better. Still, I miss the lava dive and the congo drums.

Vikki got her pegasus and pirate monkey, and Matt and I took a spin on Firehawk. King's Island seemed to have a good setup for that ride, and it seems to run much more efficiently than when it was X-Flight under the Six Flags banner.

The water park was pretty kick ass, too. We hit some waterslides, the wave pool, the funnel, and even got in some boogieboarding in the back of the park. I tell you, the world needs more of these boogieboaridng pools. I could spend hours there. Brilliant invention.

This is what pretty much happened to me on the extreme side... and the novice side... but this is video of someone (not me) on the extreme pool side:

King's Island!

Effel Tower

Still at King's Island, but coming home today. Hopefully the crowds won't be too killer. Maybe I'll check with some friends and snag a Mud Hens game on the return as well...

Then again, let's see how I'm feeling....

Dun dun... dun dun...

I'm at King's Island right now, but I figured those in the know needed to know.

Next week. Enjoy it.

Here's what happens when Rush attempts to play "Tom Sawyer" in Rock Band:

I've had the itch for some hockey, lately. Namely, Whalers hockey. I can't wait to get back into the Compuware Arena and watch the Plymouth Whalers knock around Windsor, Sarnia, London, or dare I say, Mississauga.

I miss watching hockey, and even though it was great, watching the the Stanley Cup finals on DVR just won't cut it. If I had some blades still, I'd be trying to get people together for a street game.

It's a shame the island is now pretty much barren. There was discussion of building big, expensive houses, but talk about a crappy commute to work...

Coffee

COFFEE!

Coffee. So delicious.

I remember when I started drinking coffee on a regular basis. It was the cheap drink at Ram's Horn with free refills, so to sit and talk with friends who worked there for hours, it was the cheapest way to go. These days, it's tough to start a day without it's burst of caffeine.

I guess that means I need to ween off of it, eh?

DTE Revisited

They...

They actually did it!

Cement!

That's the sight I came home to yesterday. I have achieved cement! Take that, Rev and Chud! I have cement, and better yet, it doesn't have children's fingerprints in it, or your man-part impressions.

I'd say that's a win, wouldn't you?

Standings

Every so often, I have to step back and look at all the relationships I have with people in my life. I find it interesting how they change and fluctuate. People come and people go, and we all eventually cross paths again. Sometimes, we grow apart naturally, and that's okay. Everyone has their own paths to follow, and sometimes, some people can't be a companion on some journeys. Sometimes, people grow apart due to a single moment in time, and that can be okay too. Everyone walks their own path.

I think a friendship that crumbled ten years ago or so is beginning to be rebuilt, and I think that is awesome, even if it may possibly take ages. The foundation is being inspected, and maybe something can be rebuilt.

We shall see...

Ten Statements 3.0

Here's a seemingly annual post, and well, it's about time. It's the "ten statements they want to make to people they know but don't actually want to say right out to them." (The previous posts are here and here.)

  • You finally have competition.

  • I'm finally past all of our drama.

  • I can't see why you don't get it.

  • You mean more to me than you could ever know.

  • You drive me to continue in this venue.

  • Thank you for showing up.

  • You've lost any trust ever built.

  • It's what you do to me.

  • I'm tired of it.

  • The truth will set you free.

Goodbye, Leggy Blonde

Goodbye
Goodbye, leggy blonde
Every day I'd look across the office floor
There you were your hair down to your legs
And your legs down to the floor
Leggy blonde, goodbye
Goodbye
Now that you are gone I'll never see you here for tech repair
I wish you knew how much I loved your legs and your hair
Leggy blonde, goodbye
Goodbye
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie
Leggy blonde
Goodbye
Goodbye
I had a budgie but it died
(whoa)
I like pie
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Leggy leggy leggy leggy
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie blondie blondie
Blondie blondie
Leggy blonde
I'll never get
I'll never get to be with ya
I'll never get to share another cup of tea with ya
I'll never get to let ya know how much I think of ya
I'll never get to tear your clothes off on the photocopier
He'll never get
He'll never get
He'll never get
He'll never get to say
Oooh leggy blonde you got it goin' on
Wanna see you wearin' that thong thong thong
See you getting' on to the break of dawn
(Mumbling) panties on
Goodbye
Goodbye, leggy blonde

DTE - So far...

Well, here's the photos from July 9th, when DTE sent guys out to fix the gas line to my house.

0709080953

0709081017

0709081018

0709081105

Well, that's the pics I took of the repair. The hole at the house is now closed up using that highway patchwork crap that ends up sticking to tires and sides of cars as it skitters across doors. They say a contractor will come out and replace it with concrete.

I hope so...

Security!

There's this video about the EMD Safety Bracelet. (view it here.)

Obviously, this is an older video, but it's coming up in discussion for airline security. I get that having something like an RFID tag to track luggage and flight info could be useful, the idea of tasing someone via wristband is idiotic. I mean, I could take it off! No tasing me, bro! And if you couldn't take it off, whose to say the air marshall or whomever has the tasing panel wouldn't accidentally tase an innocent?

That being said, I'd probably tase everyone, just to make sure I get the hijacker... And I wouldn't wear a bracelet.

No siree, bob.

Your thoughts?

Thanks DTE!

So, DTE just called me. (For those not in the metro Detroit area, they supply me with electricity and gas.) Apparently, they found a gas leak on my property on June 12, and would like to schedule a day for me to be home as they need someone there when they repair it.

WTF?

Seriously?

Thanks for being so prompt on a gas leak, DTE! Seriously! I might not have the congestion problems I'm having if, you know, you may have DONE YOUR JOB WHEN YOU FOUND THE LEAK!

You know, because like, I'm not PAYING for gas that's leaking out and I'm not using, right? Health or home explosion aren't possible factors, right?

Asshats.

Blargh

I just want to say for the record, I hate my sinuses. This blockage I've been dealing with is really driving me crazy.

At least the urge to vomit due to it is giving the abs the ol' workout.

Could bulimia be far behind?

Update: I have achieved Suphedrine.
