Drinking / Incoherent Rant
Drinking has been making me feel like crap.
I know. You're saying "Joe! Don't drink in excess! Only have a couple!" But here's the thing: I only have maybe one or two. I mean, I could be developing an aversion to the hops in beer, but it's happening with other alcoholic beverages. It's making me re-think the entire idea. I'm feeling like crap lately. I don't know why. I'm going to blame the weather changes, since my sinuses are all jacked up, but I'm not sure if that's the whole thing.
I've been feeling somewhat disconnected lately from a lot of things, and I'm not sure if it's related to booze. It's just something I don't get. Simple things seem to be slipping through my fingers, and sometimes I feel like yelling or screaming, venting everything. One moment, I'm in good stead, then at the flip of a coin, I'm just either completely out of it or feeling so much pressure, it's killing me.
Odds are, I'll end up in the loony bin, doped up on meds.
Yeah, that seems about right.
I need something to just be right for once, without any complications. Labels: beer, thoughts
A Momentary Update
I'll be adding more in the future. I've just been brainlocked for stuff to give you people lately. This weekend for example, was due to a family reunion and a tinge of "Gunnerkrigg Court", but I'm not sure it will infect people like "Questionable Content" did.
So, I'm still alive.
...for now.
Recent DVD Purchase - Flight of the Conchords
So, I picked up a kickass DVD set the other day -- Flight of the Conchords.
If you haven't heard of the Conchords, you really should listen to them. I describe the show as "The Office" meets "Tenacious D". It's crazy hilarious. It's great to see the cameos made by people, and watching how the band tries to avoid their "fanbase", Mel, while dealing with their by-the-book manager, Murray. Go pick this up. Grab a beer, and sit down for hours of hilarity. Do it. Labels: dvd, humor
Seven!
Good times were had this weekend. I'm just waiting for photos to come in. Thanks to those who came by for some good times.
When I was in third grade, my number on the class list was seven. Saturday, I got a birthday card for a seven year old. Today, I see this:
