The ties that bind...

Lake! The binds that people people together are weird.

Some bonds can be damaged irreparably. Others, however, can be rebuilt.

There's definitely some people I would never want to see again in my life. You know, people who have wronged me severely, or have left me with such a damaged view that I just don't want to even fathom a thought regarding them because at that point, it would seem to me to be a waste of time.

But, there are others I once thought that way about, but now the bonds are either rebuilding, or show some signs of growth, and I'm intrigued. Could these bonds ever be reforged to the way they were prior to the damage?

Maybe it's the spring season talking. I don't know.

Have you ever had to cut people out of your life? Why? For what reasons? How has it affected you, positively and negatively?

Go Tigers!

Usually if I cut someone off, it's not because I hate them or they are a bad person, it is because the relationship itself is no good. You know how certain people bring out the best in you? Well the same goes for people who bring out the worst in you. Unfortunately, those relationships will usually go the same way every single time, like a moth to the flame. I've found it best to just remove myself from that person entirely, lest the asshattery continue.

every year i go through a purging process. not really, but i kinda do. there are people i have cut out of my life for all kinds of reasons and i don't miss them one bit. i think once people show you, through their actions that they are horrible friends, then you have to cut them out. i don't NEED 100 friends. i need GOOD friends.
