Easter

"The end of the something i did not want to end,
Beginning of hard times to come.
But something that was not meant to be is done,
And this is the start of what was."
~The Streets, "Empty Cans"

Easter.

I'm not really a fan of it, and it's a bit more personal than the risen Lord (who I dig) or copious amounts of ham and kielbasa. (Ham can go, but I likes me some kielbasa.)

It truly does signify change and endings, and then new beginnings.

What are your Easter memories?

Well, this Easter I drove down to Church but got there to late for the 1st service. So I had a delicious Southwestern Omelette Breakfast Panini in the Cafe.

The Church.

The I ran into an old friend. You know, the one who never finished the siding job on my house? Anyway, we talked for a while and I am sure he has been much worse off then me the past few years, so I got his number and I am putting the whole siding thing behind me (and all the other crap relating to him and my ex). [yes, I forgive and forget to easily].

I left there and went to the Gym. Ran my third 5k of the week and did some other aerobic and strength training.

Bought some Stuffed cabbage and pumpernickle bread from the bakery down the street. Came home and ate it alone. (family is in Texas).

Now I am sitting here surfing the web and typing this.

Previous easters? I do not remember much but spending time at my parents and/or grandparents houses. and I think I was out of town for a few, but I cannot remember why.

Easter? Well, I did my job, then went to my father's house. No, not Church... my actual father's house. We then went to my Aunt Jean's house for food and socializing.

The cousins are all procreating. There are like seven or eight toddlers now. It's like a gymboree at home nowadays.

Then, Liz and I went back to dad's house and watched some TBS for a few hours.
