Here's one thing you can do...
find another credit card company that has a 0% interest rate for 5-6 months if you transfer your balance. Check the fine print.
As soon as it has all transferred, cancel the other card so that they cannot charge you the daily interest for the period of days past the last statement.

Are you out on your own now?

I've done that, but now I'm at the point, they won't give me anymore cards. I just fucked up with spending. I'm in the process of doing a major correction right now. *thanks God for online bill pay*

As for on my own, for the most part. I'm currently living in the folks old house so its looking lived in, until it sells. After that, I'm getting an apartment.

The reason for my card being all jacked up is due to a) the price of gas and b) me taking an 1,100 mile trip and throwing it on a credit card.

Are you sad to know someone else will be living in the house you grew up in? I was heart-broken when my parents moved a few years ago.

Jeremy also had issues with his credit cards. He ended up paying them off and cancelling them. He now only operates if he can use his debit card.

I've already come to terms with it. I want it sold. I want it gone. It's all about moving on.

Once I kill the credit cards, I may go the debit card route, but I loathe them. I almost didn't get an ATM card because I've been budgeting and keeping myself in line, but having an easy access piece of plactic to purchases is a bad thing... except in an emergency.

Shouldn't you be working? Blogging and commenting when students are near is a bad example....

11:00 - 12:00 is lunch.
Also, I only have an office. I teach in the program instructor's classroom space on scheduled days.

It's a nice gig. I have to be at work at 7:45,
hall duty from 8:15-8:30,
2 separate classes from 8:30-11:00,
lunch,
hall duty 12:00-12:25,
2 classes from 12:25-2:30
planning and meetings from 2:30-3:30

Not bad at all.
