Weekend Recap (BeastBuzz 2005)

Here's the list recap of the weekend:

  • Drove to the hotel which was scary beyond belief.

  • Waffle House

  • Walkback to Flight of Fear for a tour inside the "spagetti bowl".

  • Saw King Cobra trains.

  • Walkback to the Beast and Italian Job: Stunt Track.

  • Got three or four laps on IJ.

  • Did the scavenger hunt.

  • Huge lunch at the International Restaurant.

  • Beers at Lt. Dan's Bar.

  • An impromptu Tomb Raider: the Ride tour, including steam tunnels, the control booth, and got to view a ride cycle from the main floor.

  • A walk-on ride to Tomb Raider: the Ride.

  • Awards ceremony at the Paramount Theatre -- Took 2nd place.

  • Watched promo videos.

  • Flight of Fear ERT (which I didn't ride, but hit on the photo booth girl who looked like Rachel Blanchard)

  • Italian Job: Stunt Track ERT (where I got two laps in as well as a ride with PKI's newest marketing team member, Kristin)

  • Beast ERT for a couple laps.

  • Ghetto hotel again.

  • Waffle House.

  • Phil giving us directions to add two hours to our trip, but unbeknownst to him, allowed us to pass Lesourdsville Lake (which now is an RV lot.)

Good times.

Useless without pics....especially of the exact moment where you realized it wasn't going anywhere :)

In response To Rev's comment.. Joe was doing pretty well with the ladies on Sat...

And I think I have to take credit for part of the 2 hour driving addition. I think with me trying to find a shortcut which did not work, and Missng the I-275 exit to I-75 in cinci.. I Probably added at least an hour to our trip.

Also, It should be noted that though we were honored with second place in the scavenger Hunt, We might have truely been the first place team. Shameless plug: Read about it here..
